Being born and raised on a ranch outside of Rapid City, South Dakota provided ample opportunity for Chanda Snook to study the subject matter she most enjoys capturing in photography: the west. Not just a sun setting behind Devils Tower, the Belle Fourche River reflecting off red rock, or a seasonal event, but the storytelling that happens when the west that was interacts with the world that now is. Whether portraying motorcycling tourists marrying under the Tower, catching a mother horse nudge her foal to water or capturing a fourth generation rancher take his rightful place at a branding, Chanda Snook finds the original element in every scene and has been credited with creating photographs that preserve not only memorable occasions, but radiate unforgettable feelings.

As a photojournalist, Chanda’s work has been featured in numerous publications including International Magazine of Cowgirls, Tri State Livestock News and CowboyPoetry.com where her editors value her commitment to assignments, deadlines, and professional conduct. Chanda’s abilities have also afforded her the invitation to travel extensively, where her photojournalistic style has been internationally appreciated.

When not on assignment, Chanda Snook lives in the Black Hills of Hulett, Wyoming with her husband, two sons and her favorite camera. For more information about Chanda and to schedule your consultation, please visit the PR and Contact Page
